iQor Recognized for its Commitment to Employing Persons with Disabilities

Tech-enabled BPO partners with New York State to hire individuals with disabilities in support of their rehabilitation and independent living

ST. PETERSBURG, FL—OCTOBER 24, 2019- iQor, a managed services provider of customer engagement and technology-enabled BPO solutions, announced today that it has been selected to receive the Western New York Employment Consortium Outstanding Employer award for its commitment to hiring individuals with disabilities. The award was presented by the New York State (NYS) Office of Adult Career and Continuing Educational Services –Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR) in honor of National Disability and Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM).
Each October, ACCES-VR celebrates National Disability and Employment Awareness Month by honoring businesses and workers that are committed to assisting individuals with disabilities to achieve and maintain employment, and to supporting independent living through training, education, rehabilitation and career development. iQor recruiter, Samantha Narducci, accepted the award on behalf of the company.
Through its partnership with ACCES-VR, iQor has hired six new employees at its Depew, New York call center where it provides on-the-job training, career development and work-from-home programs that help eliminate transportation barriers for persons with disabilities.
