iQor Wins 2018 Global Sustainability Award

iQor recognized by the Telecommunications Industry Association for sustainability efforts

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—JUNE 25, 2018 – iQor, a global managed services provider embedded in the flow between product, people and services today announced it was awarded the 2018 Global Sustainability Award for Excellence (Corporate Category), by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) at this years’ 2018 Annual Global Sustainability Awards.
 
The awards were presented during the Networking Reception and Awards Ceremony at the TIA Network of the Future conference, in Plano, Texas.
 
Accepting the award on behalf of iQor were Hartmut Liebel, iQor’s CEO, Connie Long, vice president of operations, and Stephen Mcgoldrick director of supply chain operations and sustainability.
 
“We are proud to be recognized for our efforts to reach our Sustainability 2020 goals,” said Liebel. “We are well on our way to hit QuEST Forums’ gold standard next year and look forward to making big impacts for our customers and the earth for years to come.”

TIA’s Global Sustainability Awards recognize organizations achieving excellence and showcasing energy, passion, and innovation in corporate sustainability; based on performance as recorded through assessments from TIA’s QuEST Sustainability Assessor Tool. A part of TIA’s Business Performance Community services, the QuEST Sustainability Assessor Tool is designed to enable companies to rapidly self-assess and benchmark their sustainability and corporate social responsibility programs against industry best practices. 
 
iQor announced its adoption of the Quest Forum’s Sustainability Assessment Model in 2017 to further drive and benchmark the company’s sustainable supply chain practices. iQor has recorded significant results, including annually recycling:
• 80+ tons of metals
• 7,500 tons of cardboard
• 265 tons of plastic
• 210 tons of foam
• 970 tons of e-scrap
